Agreement and app license

These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement for the Fried Chicken app. Unless a custom license is shown in the App Store for your country or region, Apple’s Standard EULA also applies. If a mandatory law gives you rights that conflict with these Terms, that law controls.

Eligibility and account

You must be at least 13, or the higher minimum age required where you live, to use Fried Chicken’s account and social features. Sign in with Apple is the supported account login. Keep access to your Apple ID, device, and Fried Chicken session secure, and provide accurate information when completing account setup.

What Fried Chicken provides

Fried Chicken turns eligible Apple Health-derived step totals into goals, estimated walking minutes, XP, levels, streaks, badges, achievements, Friends, Local, or Global League rankings, and official events with passport rewards. AI walkers are fictional practice rivals and never enter live rankings. Fried Chicken does not offer cash prizes, and XP, levels, badges, event stamps, rankings, and other virtual progress have no cash value or guaranteed permanence.

Health information and accuracy

Fried Chicken reads Step Count from Apple Health with your permission and does not write Health data. Step totals, estimated walking minutes, progress, and rankings depend on information made available by Apple Health, connected devices, source apps, your permissions, and Fried Chicken’s systems.

Results may be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, corrected, or otherwise inaccurate because of wearable or device syncing, source-app behavior, time-zone changes, connectivity, outages, software defects, or integrity checks. Fried Chicken does not guarantee that any total, estimate, achievement, streak, rank, or notification is exact or current.

Fried Chicken does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, or emergency assistance. Do not rely on Fried Chicken for a medical or safety decision, or for employment, insurance, benefits, or any purpose that requires an exact measurement.

Safe use and assumption of ordinary activity risk

You are responsible for deciding whether and how to be active based on your health, abilities, surroundings, weather, equipment, and local conditions. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from an injury or surgery, or are unsure whether activity is appropriate, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before changing your activity. Stop and seek appropriate help if you experience concerning symptoms.

Do not look at or interact with Fried Chicken while driving, cycling, crossing roads, using stairs, or moving near traffic or other hazards. Remain aware of surfaces, visibility, weather, other people, and your surroundings. Goals, leagues, streaks, badges, and notifications are optional motivation and must never override safety or a qualified clinician’s advice.

Participation in walking or exercise is voluntary. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you accept the ordinary and inherent risks of that activity and remain responsible for your choices. Fried Chicken is not responsible for injury, illness, death, loss, or property damage caused by your activity choices, unsafe conditions, third parties, misuse of the app, or reliance on activity totals, except where applicable law does not allow that responsibility to be excluded.

Fair play and service integrity

Manually entered steps do not count toward server XP or live rankings. Do not falsify activity, manipulate Health data sources, tamper with the app, automate requests, bypass security or App Attest checks, evade enforcement, manipulate rankings, spam invitations, or abuse another person’s account. We may reject or correct activity, reset progress, or restrict features when reasonably necessary to protect fair play, security, or other walkers.

Friends, Groups, leagues, and community rules

Friend requests require acceptance. Local League uses the country or region you select and does not require GPS. Global League is optional. You may control Local and Global League visibility separately, and region changes may be limited for fairness. Rankings can change when data refreshes, a friend removes a connection, an account is deleted, or an integrity decision is applied.

Group creation and membership limits depend on your plan and are shown in the app. Subscription expiry does not automatically remove existing Group memberships or access; additional Group creation and joining remain subject to your current plan's limits.

Do not use abusive, hateful, sexual, threatening, deceptive, or impersonating usernames, Group or challenge names and descriptions, or report text. Do not harass other walkers, send repeated unwanted requests, unwanted Wings or Clucks, make knowingly false reports, or use Fried Chicken for illegal conduct. You can report or block another walker. We may reset usernames, remove content, limit social features, suspend accounts, or preserve records when reasonably necessary to investigate safety, legal, or security concerns.

Official events and virtual rewards

Official Events are free to join and earn their standard rewards. Fried Chicken does not sell separate Event Passes or individual Event access. Eligible Crispy Fried Chicken members can earn additional Event avatars and profile banners, including gold versions, by meeting the goals shown in the app. A subscription does not automatically award these rewards or provide extra steps, easier goals, or a higher ranking.

Official event dates, requirements, eligibility, and virtual rewards are shown in the app and may be updated before an event begins. Event progress depends on eligible activity available to Fried Chicken and may change after a correction or integrity review. Event stamps, seals, share cards, and other virtual rewards have no cash value and are not transferable.

Event cosmetics you have earned remain linked to your account after your subscription expires. Account deletion removes those records. We reserve the right to correct rewards obtained through fraud or misuse under the fair-play rules above. Event schedules and available rewards are described on each Event page.

Crispy Fried Chicken subscriptions

Fried Chicken may offer an optional auto-renewable Crispy Fried Chicken subscription. The app shows the subscription duration, current price, and included features before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through Apple before renewal. You can manage or cancel it from your Apple Account subscription settings.

Crispy Fried Chicken provides access to the benefits described in the app while the subscription remains active. Features may evolve, but changes will not remove your non-waivable consumer rights. Purchases and refunds are also subject to Apple's applicable terms and refund processes.

Deleting your Fried Chicken account does not cancel an App Store subscription. If you do not want the subscription to renew, cancel it through Apple before deleting your account. Deletion removes your Fried Chicken account and associated entitlement record, subject to the limited transaction records we may retain for financial, fraud, legal, and dispute purposes.

Your content

You remain responsible for the usernames, Group and challenge names and descriptions, referral information, support details, and reports you submit. You give Fried Chicken a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and moderate the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except where temporary backups, safety records, or legal obligations require limited retention.

Privacy

The Fried Chicken Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how Apple Health-derived daily totals are handled, what other walkers can see, and how to exercise privacy choices. You control Apple Health permission through Apple’s settings and may delete your Fried Chicken account in the app.

Availability and service changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, protect service integrity, or improve Fried Chicken. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability, delivery of any notification, compatibility with every device or step source, or permanent retention of a ranking, streak, badge, XP balance, or level.

Account restriction and deletion

You may stop using Fried Chicken, sign out, or permanently delete your account from Profile. We may restrict or close an account that materially or repeatedly violates these Terms, creates safety or legal risk, or threatens the service. The Privacy Policy explains the effect of account deletion and limited retention.

Deleting your account also deletes Groups you own and challenges you created, including their dependent membership, participation and result records. Leaving a Group does not erase challenge activity and results earned while you were a member. Deleting your account does not cancel your Apple subscription.

Inactive accounts

Inactive accounts are not currently deleted automatically. If your account records no sign-in, authenticated app activity, or eligible score submission for 24 consecutive months, we may treat it as inactive. We may close an inactive account and delete its associated server data after at least 30 days’ notice through the app, a push notification, or another contact channel available to us, where reasonably practicable. Signing in during the notice period keeps the account active. We may retain limited records when reasonably required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes. Closing a Fried Chicken account does not delete information held in Apple Health.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fried Chicken is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express, implied, or statutory warranties, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or that the service will meet your goals. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fried Chicken and its operators and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, opportunities, goodwill, health outcomes, or anticipated progress arising from or related to the service. To that same extent, they will not be liable for injury, illness, death, or property loss resulting from voluntary activity, environmental conditions, third-party conduct, distraction while using a device, or reliance on Fried Chicken activity information.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, total liability for all claims relating to Fried Chicken will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount, if any, that you paid directly to Fried Chicken to use the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$50. Fried Chicken's core experience may be available free of charge, with optional paid features. This cap does not create an entitlement to any payment, refund, or compensation. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections or liability arising from fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury where exclusion or limitation is prohibited.

Consumer rights

You may have non-waivable rights under the laws where you live. These Terms do not limit those rights. Any warranty disclaimer, liability limit, or other restriction applies only to the extent permitted in your country or region.

Apple

These Terms are between you and Fried Chicken, not Apple. Fried Chicken, not Apple, is responsible for the app, support, and claims relating to the app. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the applicable app license and may enforce it. Apple Health, Sign in with Apple, TestFlight, and the App Store are Apple services governed by Apple’s terms.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as Fried Chicken changes. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website when appropriate. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms, subject to any notice or consent required by law.

Walking rewards

Drumsticks, buckets and collection tiers are virtual progress calculated from eligible scored-day activity. They have no cash or food redemption value. Sending a Wing does not spend them. Data corrections or integrity review may change displayed progress.
